The Project SITE entry of our school entitled Project TuxMath: Enhancement of Mathematics Teaching and Learning Using Computer Games: A UbD Approach;
was assessed and evaluated by the Division Project SITE Evaluation Committee headed by the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Lorna G. Bugayong together with the Education Program Supervisors Eveln Lopico, Erlinda Dela Pena, Luisito Libatique, Mary Rose Madayag and German Flora last February 10, 2012.
The project was ably presented and defended by the proponent Mr. George A. Maticquen Jr., a Mathematics teacher of CNHS through a PowerPoint presentation and a class demonstration employing the Understanding by Design approach.
Initial feedback showed that the project was one of a kind so far in as much as the evaluators are concerned; wherein it utilizes educational computer software called TuxMath.
The evaluators tried the educational computer game and it seemed that they enjoyed very much and accepted that it is very much doable in every schools with functional computer laboratory.
The project is another innovation in teaching and learning which is aligned to our continuing program of Integrating ICT in all subject areas.
